Hmm, tubes are tubes, a consumable. The pressure is actually held by the tire, not the tube. If the tire thumps on the road then it isn't the tube, it's a bulge in the tire. If your wheel is making a ticking sound it isn't coming from the tube. Check your spoke tension and how true your wheel is.
