POSTPONED two weeks due to rain.
Due to heavy rains and thunderstorms forecast for the greater San Diego region on Friday, May 15, the SANDAG iCommute program has decided to postpone Bike to Work Day to Friday, May 29. We can’t predict how this storm will affect conditions around the county and the safety of bike riders, the public, and our pit stop volunteers is our primary concern. I rode, it was wet roads and dry skies, except for maybe 5-10 min passing shower. There were some heavy showers overnight, haven't heard any thunder. But I guess this is what passes for "heavy rains and thunderstorms" around here.
tarwheel, that's a pretty sweet collection of schwag. I'd love to get a cap, but around here it's t-shirts, snacks, and disposably useless trinkets like button-battery blinkies with only a plastic hook to attach, no real mounting hardware.
