My everyday commuter was largely Rivendell inspired. I actually got the idea from the "Poor Man's Rivendell" thread on the commuting forum. I'm not sure I agree with Grant's ideas for all types of riding, but it makes sense for the hour or so a day I spend getting to work and other errand running.
