There's probably some truth in that.
Here in the US cycling tends to attract active, type A, confrontational personalities who are keyed up by physical exertion. There are countless of posts here on BF demonstrate that.
On the other hand, cyclists are probably less likely to be miscreants with a long record and nothing to loose, therefore less likely to go all the way.
