I regularly ride my bike to National Airport when I'm going on short trips. It is by far the most convenient way of getting there, the bike path goes right to Terminal C. My big beef is the parking situation. It's not as rosy as the story depicts. If you lock to a "pole or fence" homeland security will blow up your bike right quick. Also, cycling is prohibited on the airport grounds, so technically you have to walk from the end of the bike trail to the terminal, although I've never been challenged. While there is automotive parking at every terminal, there are only bike racks at Terminal C and it's a 15-20 minute walk to Terminal A.

Now I just have to finish my design for a "wheelie" pannier.
