Look, they are all good brands and good bikes. As someone that has worked in retail for many years, I know that sometimes people overthink things and overshop. Personally I think you are on the verge of overshopping. The odds you will encounter someone that has ridden all of the bikes you are considering is slim and none. Unless you happen to get very lucky and encounter someone that has ridden most if not all of the bikes you are considering within a short period of time, anyone that singles out one bike in the group you are considering would be giving you irresponsible advice. To make things worse, I happen to think both Giant and Specialized have bikes you may want to consider.
Either you are gonna need to ride all of them yourself or start using the process of elimination to narrow things down.
What would happen if one particular bike resoundingly won your poll then you went out and bought one but hated it?

Looking to purchase a really good hybrid bike for myself for under $650.00. I ride my current fixed gear Fuji Feather Road bike all over the city and the 5 boroughs but would like a hybrid since I have difficulty not having gears and obviously we all know how bad our road are in NYC. I have done some research and found 3 bike manufactures that I would like to choose from however I am unsure of which model to choose form and what is best for its value, comfort level, all around ease of terrain and of course value. Also I have heard that hybrids are a joke and allot of bad talk and from what I read it’s pointing to get a cyclocross bike instead. Now I’m really unsure and confused!!! Please help
