Oh. I understand the confusion now.
This is not the anniversary gift. This is just the new power meter for the Magic Bike. Ordered actually awhile ago, it just happened to arrive today.
My game plan was to get past the power meter purchase, let that become a faint memory in my spouse's mind and then request new Sparrow wheels for my birthday in a few months. I vaguely alluded to that about 2 weeks ago, just to set the stage. At the time, I was thinking that was going to be a problem because I didn't want Sparrow wheels that I would be unable to use on MB. I mentioned this quandary to a friend and found out that I could use 11 speed wheels on the Sparrow, so I was going to just ask for 11 speed wheels. I thought the time wasn't right though, so I didn't bring it up. In the meantime, he hatched the plan for the Di2 on the Sparrow.
