Hello,

I recently purchased a used DA 700 group in which there are a couple of ferrules(?) which I am unsure of where they fit, as well as a ring the size/width of a penny? Or are they just superfluous?
This is also my first STI build so I have some preliminary questions for you all. For one thing: the 7700 STI lever technical manual discourages using the levers on a frame with internal cable routing - does this apply to internal shift cable routing or brake cable routing as well? And how about cloth tape to finish with both aero & ergo cable routings? All the bike needs now is cables and bar tape at this point and I want to do it right. Oh, and mount levers.

Any tips and recommendations are appreciated.
