I'm thinking the seat may be a bit too low. Going uphill, the tendency is to drop the heel more . . . which is why a good seat height on the flats may be a bit too high for the climbs. So, a good height for climbs may be a bit low for the flats. (BTW, how does it feel on STEEP climbs?)
