Just thinking about the race seat will having to be cleaned up.

Is this to remove the extra thickness of chrome around that area ?

What is the standard tolerance for 1" ? 'exact' as you can get it, smaller, larger ?

Are there tools for it or will a careful session on a lathe suffice?
