From: take your time, enjoy the scenery, it will be there when you get to it

Bikes: 07 IRO BFGB fixed-gear, 07 Pedal Force RS

2-3 beers, food, 2-3 bottles of water/Nuun, and rest.

If the ride was than 45 miles, I'd just hydrate and go about my day.
