Bikes: 2016 Giant Fastroad CoMax 2, 2002 Jamis Tangier, Classic Nakamichi 10 speed.

I installed a kickstand on my Jamis Tangier when I bought it 13 years and I don't regret it. My name didn't change to Fred and I don't feel dorkish. When I picked up my new Fastroad SLR 1 a couple weeks ago, I asked the dealer about a kickstand and his response was "I looked at it and there is really no good way to do it". I think that was his way of saying he didn't really want to put one on in the first place. As time has gone on, I am fine with it and as J708 just suggested I ordered a floor stand for it.

If someone came out with an ultra modern designed kickstand that was light, won't scratch the pain or damage the chainstay tubes, I might be interested. Otherwise I am gonna keep my new Fastroad as light as I can.

i just stick this up my bum when i go riding and lay it down on the floor when i want to stop. Guaranteed the bike will never fall over no matter what. But you'll have a really soar arse.
