Its not "hate" for Chrome (although to me they are kinda the Walmart of bike stuff), but love for Baileyworks. I've had mine for 17 years now, and half of those years it was used everyday, year round(Cleveland winters included) and it never failed. The strap system is excellent. The company is easy to deal with, friendly, and ALL of their bags are still made in the USA, unlike Chrome. True, unlike Chrome, they don't make shoes and shirts and pants and jackets and sweaters and this and that. They just make bags. But their bags are tough. They have a few styles to choose from, a bunch of colors and a bunch of cool, practical options.
No hate, man. Just love. Everyone love everyone.....
Unless you roll down to a hub, and have one custom made, and it is made right there, in the US.
And the Wal-Mart of bike stuff? That is how I see Timbuk2 honestly. Like they tried, put out a really mass produced product with no thought behind it, and were done.
