My Universal Uni-Sport Fold Up

after many years of towing a trailer with a 32kg GSD in it, and now tugging a sidecar with a 25kg Border Collie in it, my chain and sprockets had finally had enough, chain was stretched badly, the 5 rear cogs were shot, and the front crank sprocket I had welded on years ago was now not helping to keep the chain on.
So, I decided on junking the running gear and fitting a Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub. So after searching locally for a while I managed to find a Raleigh Twenty at a car boot sale, it had 20 inch wheels, 3 speed, all worked, bit of rust, but solid, and it came home with me
But during the strip and change over, I noticed that the 20 x1 3/8 wheel and tyre set up on the Twenty, is about an inch or two taller than my 20 x 1.75 set up.....

So wouldn't fit.
Ok, resort to Plan B.
Take the hub and wheels from my Puch Pic-Nic and use that, once the tyres and tubes and wheels were fitted, I went to fit the chain, and yes you guessed it, the old 1975 chain will not run on a modern mountain bike front sprocket

So I need to weld another on there.
I now have to cut the front sprocket from the Puch and weld it on the Uni, so tomorrow will do that, dog is asking where his ride is
I have read that the Twenty used 20 x 1.75 AND 20 x 1 3/8 tyre/wheel set up during production but the latter used shorter brake arms.
I will have to buy some rims for it and respoke the hub as the rims are rusty, got some better bars coming, but the question is, to restore the frame, or use as is?
