From Leiden to Amsterdam Schipol airport 30k. 18 minutes on a train or 1:15 on a bike. Not sure how long for a car
From UCSD to Limburg Feild (San Diego International) 25K 1-1:15 by bus. 50 minutes by bike. 20 minutes by car. In terms of biking, there are bike lanes pretty much the whole way, except for the final apporach into the terminal which is really scary. There is a nice heavy rod iron fence around the parking lot that I can lock to. I have seen some fairly nice bikes look up there for a week with no problem. I don't think theives look at airports for bikes.
