I got a smoking deal on a new lower for my SID fork, but with 15mm through axle instead of 9mm QR. I have Reynolds MTN-C carbon clinchers, but the hubs are nonconvertable to 15mm. So I have to buy a 15mm, 24 hole MTB hub and build it onto that rim.
Bleah. $350.
And then I find a deal on chainreaction for an Easton EC-70 front wheel, for $279 delivered. And it winds up being *lighter* than the Reynolds!
So now my wheels are mismatched. Booo.
But I think I may put the Reynolds front on my Big Dummy. So yay?
Crabon rim on a Big Dummy? It's about time someone did that!
