So true, thanx for the input. Buuuut... eating is one of the few pleasures I have left that I can afford. I'm consuming more salads (chicken, tuna) but I get free bread, the downfall of weight loss. (Potato chips [low sodium] don't count, they are one of life's essentials.)

Thursday, however, I rode with a friend who has a calorie counter. 480 burned on a 13mi hilly ride. Another 20.5 today (flat) so I'm still burning calories. At 69 years of age I'm more concerned with enjoying life than a svelt figure, as long as I eat (mostly) healthy. The Sparks Fire Dept. stopped by today at the Senior Center and my vitals were good (right after a 17mi ride): BP 118/76, Oxy 95%, Heart rate 81.
I'd like to get down to 200 by the end of summer, but if I don't, c'est la vie.
