I've had good results with the A050 thumbshifters mounted on the tops. You just need to move one hand to the tops and it's a pretty light action to make the shift before that hand is back to the hood or hook.
Those were on my list too. My goal was to buy a part I can reuse when they need larger frames.
I doubt I will reuse the Soras, but if I am happy with the quality, I might.
