I agree with this evaluation. From the mid-fifties when the 1938 Schwinn cantilever frame patent expired, many manufacturers tried to copy the look with varying degrees of success. The Huffy El Dorado used twin top tubes instead of twin seat stays carried forward to the down tube like the Schwinn design. While the Schwinn frame design resisted any dynamic twisting forces thus keeping the head tube and seat tube aligned in the same plane, the Huffy design was strictly aesthetic.
