77 degree seat tube angle on the ironman bike makes it a definite time trial bike (originally of course it was a triathlon bike) and probably wouldn't be very comfortable as a road bike (you would sit a lot further forward compared to a normal road bike which would have around 73 deg seat tube). Especially if you look at the stem/handle bar/pointer down aero bars ( what's that about?). It looks very cramped.
Beyond the age difference you are comparing a traditional geometry road bike with a time trial bike which has a steeper seat tube which puts the rider more forward on the bike.
