Bikes: Specialized Tricross, Cannondale CAAD10

Outdoor Sports Center - Wilton, CT

Has anyone ever purchased a bike from there?

I've bought accessories over there over the years and the prices are always fair and the staff helpful, always offering to order something if they don't normally stock it. Since I'm in the market for a new bike and they are both a Specialized and Cannondale dealer I've stopped in a couple of times to look around and pick the staffs brains.

So far it's been a pleasure with no pressure. I asked about demo bikes and they don't have models in my size I'm interested in as a demo but said if I leave a CC and bring my pedals I can take one of the floor models out for an hour or so to get the feel for it - not something you can do in 15 minutes in the parking lot. If that wasn't impressive enough since they didn't have one of the models I'm looking at in my size the salesman said they could build the one they have in stock up for me so I can test ride it OR if I wanted to test a specific bike they would actually order it for me - just to test ride, no commitment to buy. The thought is they would put it on the floor and someone else would buy it. Last time I bought a bike (different shop) I had to put a deposit down just to get it in the store. Test ride? LOL I figured that was SOP, but I was pleasantly surprised at all the offerings I was given. To be fair, I didn't want them to order anything, the bike they have in stock and can build is just the same frame but different groupset then what I'm looking at. It's not important as I want compare the frame feel between the manufacturers.

Needless to say I've been impressed with their level of customer service so far, but what I'm really wondering/concerned is how good are they at fitting the bikes. They can have great CS & decent prices but if the fit is bad... They just got the GURU system in earlier this year, I'm not sure what they were using for fits prior to that. Of course that is just the tool and it's the "mechanic" that is really important. So if anyone has had experience with their bike fits I'd love to hear about your experience.
