aluminum has a fatigue life. how long the frame last seem to depend on how it's ridden. I've looked it up quite a bit, and the number that keeps popping up is 5 years. I don't treat my bikes gently, so I just want to get a frame that lets me not worry about a crack developing on the bottom bracket or the welds.
