I like doing 50-mile trips like once a month....and I do notice that on my Trek DS 8.1 is making my life harder (light pain is a daily thing these days....I am sorting things out, but I am still learning what to do).
Anyway....so what bikes are great for long trips? Why arent hybrids apt for long trips?
your post is odd... you say long rides and then you mention doing 50 miles. ???
as others have mentioned... 50 miles is not long (assuming under 2,500 total elevation)
