Thank you all, I felt the same way and really wanted to confirm my gut feeling. I will be sticking to new or used so long I can actually ride it. I will be touring my LBS market this weekend. I appreciate the advise. If anyone has a good suggestion for an entry level bike let me know. I open to all options and I am pretty mechanically handy, so buying online is a huge deterrent for me.
