Is your roadie comfortable for long rides? If so then I'd say you have an answer to your geometry question.
Longest ride I've done on it is around 70 miles and it wasn't comfortable. Toward the end it wasn't even fast.
My goal is to be higher than the 7.5 while I'm on the tops.
