Do you mean in-line brakes on the bars? My wife just got a cannondale and they installed those for her for $45 (I think the parts were $45, no labor charge for a new bike).

Have you taken them on a long ride? My wife did a lot of shopping for that cannondale but never took any bike out for more than 20 minutes. I would want to ride one for an hour...
