So my question is how long do you guys think it should take to ride 70 km with no stops? For a newer rider, and for a experienced rider. Thanks guys!
Three of my endurance rides in May were about 72km with 300m of vertical - 2:49 moving out of 3:04; 3:03 out of 3:15; and 2:44 out of 2:54. Apart from organized rides along major highways I don't think I've ever ridden any place it was possible to go for more than an hour without a stop sign or red light, and starting at my home or office I usually loose about 5-15 minutes getting to and from that uninterrupted stretch of road.
Average heart rate of 110-120; I really wasn't working hard.
