Dahon Mu replacement fork

Hi,

My fork failed on my Mu Uno

I have found a stockist with a direct replacement. It's £49 though, and I'm actually thinking that a steel fork might be less prone to failure.

I've seen some other Dahon forks which look like they are steel on Evans Cycles web shop for £15, but I can't tell which one might fit. Perhaps there is another fork somewhere that fits that is cheaper than £50?

The tube at the top is 120mm, and 125mm from the shoulder to the top. On the frame, is it the headstock? It's 100mm or so (I think 99mm, as I've seen this listed as a headstock dimension fpr Dahons.

Are there any bearings for forks? Should they be greased? Mine were quite dry. I couldn't tell if there were bearings that fell out.

Many thanks,

J
