my question is how to correctly paint decals over powder coat. Are there other cheap options that look good and are cheap?

instead of studying for finals i have done hours upon hours of research into repainting my bike. Now im leaning towards getting Olympic Powder Coating to powder coat my bike. I called them and they said it is possible to paint over but i have a chance of damaging the powder coat! I have kind of hit an overload of info on all this and want a final opinion for you guys.

Someone suggested model paint. I have also read that nail polish could work.

Currently im thinking get a base coat of my main color, paint on my decals, then go back and pay them for a clear coat. Im really trying to minimize cost but dont want to risk the spray paint route.
