Hey everyone!
I'm relatively new to cycling and the ins and outs of bikes themselves, but voraciously rode [crappy] bikes since childhood. So I just bought a bike for the first time, and it's a gorgeous but slightly run down 2009 Fuji Touring, and coming from a very upright commuter (Trek Allant...haha), riding this bike is basically adrenaline-soaked heaven.
Problem is (among other irrelevant problems), I can't make turns on this bike without scraping the pedal on the ground at any speed other than a slow crawl (and even then I can't make tight turns). It's not an issue of speed at all, and it's only partially an issue of technique (I admit I sometimes have difficulty distinguishing my left from my right, or pedal through a turn or otherwise end up with my inside foot at the bottom); even if I do have my inside pedal at the bottom on my Allant or other bikes I've tried, I don't scrape unless I'm pulling a ridiculous turn at ridiculous speeds. The bike has all stock parts except saddle and cable housing, and specs are here:

I don't know much about geometry/haven't taken the time to sit down and squint at the numbers and compare them, but can someone help me figure out what's the issue (is the crankset too low? Are my cranks too long?), and let me know if the pedal scraping will cause any damage to the bike in any way?
Thanks!
