First off, is your tour self-supported - meaning you will be carrying all your own gear, camping and making most of your meals?

Any particular reason you are going 2X9 (double) rather than 3X9 (triple)? Opinions vary, but I would go triple for the range of gears.

You mentioned "labor..." are you going to put most of it together, or have someone else do most of it?

I agree with statement above about returning frame and purchasing full bike. You aren't going to save money building from parts.
