Hi, I am a complete beginner when it comes to riding bikes aside from my child hood however i came to you because i have read a few of your posts and you seem to be very knowledgeable with bike equipment. I just wanted to ask what kind of bike should i start off with (fixie/freewheel) I have looked all around the internet and have found numerous brands however they all seem the same to me and i can't tell the difference when it comes to the quality of the equipment used on the bikes. The brands i have considered are Aventon, Leader, Purefix(they are bleh), and Unknown. I think that you own a bike shop from what i have read correct? What have been your customers experiences with these brands and did they like them? Also how much do you think it would cost to have Road style drop bars installed on the Aventon which was my main goal. I asked around and all my local bike shops tell me most of the time that Aventon is some new brand they dont know about and none of them have it in stock one store has it that i haven't been to yet and was closed today when i went to go look for bikes, the other one i called over the phone told me that for an aventon i was looking at around 650! When the one from city grounds was around 500 i doubt the parts they are using in the aventon are very different from the ones from city grounds. They even advertise the frame for 350$ when they can clearly get it for wayy cheaper. If you feel this post is worth your time please reply back in detail.
