Just recently happened to me as well due to all the tx flooding. I've put 200 miles on my mtb in 3 months and most of it was on pavement.

So I bought a road bike. Never could have convinced me even 6 months ago I'd be wearing Lycra shorts and peddling for hours on pavement. I fell in love with it immediately because instead of driving 15-45 miles to trail ride, I head out my door and just pick a direction.
