I am thinking about doing a tour across Louisiana in fall of 2016. Would like to start at Grand Isle and end in Shreveport. Any one have suggestions on routes. Louisiana is not a big bicycle touring state but it is my home and I love. When I rode motorcycles years ago always wanted to ride from Grand Isle to Shreveport on La hwy 1. La 1 is not bicycle friendly so need alternative routes. Any help would be appreciated.
