Saturday: crazy route for group ride (47 miles)
Sunday: did my first charity ride on road bike. Ride for United Way in Decatur Illinois. I chose to ride the 60 mile option. I had one miscue with chain popping off on downshift on hill. Once I fixed it I was on my way and riding at good cruising pace. I rode with few older gentlemen and tried to help by doing my share of pulls. The second 30 miles was in brutal winds. No matter which way we turn the wind was either cross or head wind. My average speed showed I was doing 10-11 mph. Going take it easy on Monday's ride for recovery.
