The building a touring bike aspects of this thread and associated logistics and routing are good for this section of the site.

But I'm thinking the discussion of the fund raising aspects would probably be better suited to a different section of the site, not sure if the A&S section is the appropriate place, but like discussing politics and/or firearms the discussion can quickly get emotional. Just a thought.

edit: found a Charity ride section where people seem to be discussing various aspects of charity rides, might be good to go start a thread there on the fund raising aspects of the planned trip.
