yea, it's really handy when transporting the bike like laying it in a car. The chain won't rub on your upholstery. TO take the wheel off, put it in the smallest chainring in front and smallest cog in the rear. Remove wheel, then pull the chain up and over that tab. The derailleur spring-tension will keep the chain taut.
