I just did some CF repair myself. Pretty easy. You can buy CF strips on eBay. I folded it into 4 layers for my application & spread some 2part, 5 min epoxy into it. Worked quite well. The first attempt was botched because I didn't realize the epoxy would bond to wax paper. I figured it out on the second go around & now have a nice repair. You can cut the fabric with scissors & sand or file the edges smooth. It's not really all that tough.
Like mentioned above, the 2 part epoxy is thicker. I worked mine into the fabric & put the wax paper over it momentarily so that I could press it smooth. Since I was using 4 layers, I waited for it to set up & worked more epoxy into the bottom of the molded item, once that was set up. For what I was building, it worked out quickly & well.
