but life expectancy for any steel or titanium will be forever...assuming no crashes or mistreatment of steel and allowing it to rust.
Hasn't been my experience so far since the only frame and fork failures I've had have been of steel frames and the bike which has lasted the longest is the only aluminum one I've had (145,000 miles over 25 years so far).
