You're right that it's not anybody else's problem; trouble with your rant is that nobody implied it is. In fact, it's not only not anybody's else's problem, but supplies them with some much needed amusement.
Actually, it sounds like you are. Trolling , that is. Though there may be a few wannabe racer types out there, the reasoned responses in this thread on point show that many choose cycling clothes mostly for comfort and function.
