My hybrid, which is neither classic nor vintage, has a straight bar. I'm always resting one of the ends of the bars against something to stand the bike up. And the hard plastic on the end of the Ergon GE1 grips is getting sorta 'chewed up'. I have tons of cork. I'm going to make some plugs for the ends of my bars. Seems like a perfect thing to do. Cork is soft enough and yet firm enough. It won't get damaged and it won't damage anything.

(Nothing like rejuvenating a five-year-old thread)
