I use a left-handed Rohloff shifter with my N360. It works great, and I like it much better than the bulky NuVinci shifter. The Rohloff hub's indexing is at the hub, so the shifter works continuously. I haven't been able to detect any lost range using the Rohloff hub, and the 1-14 labeling is more informative than the "graphic" display of the NuVinci shifter. The Rohloff shifter does not have any barrel adjusters, so you'll either have to place some inline or be precise when cutting your cables. I don't use any, and just cut my cables precisely.
