Great for the bike patrol LEO, not so great for the average cyclist. The problem motorists will soon be giving bike patrol LEOs plenty of passing room, but it will be business as usual when an average cyclist happens to appear on the horizon.
Fun to watch how all the motorists are all good little drivers when a marked motorized patrol LEO is in the mix, and then to watch the free for all after the patrol officer exits that particular roadway.
As an education campaign however this is quite stellar. The city also put up bill boards advertising the 3 foot law. They seem to be taking a very proactive approach.
