i have the same fear. im sure your accident was a hell of a lot worse but i know what yo're talkin about. i was screwin around on my haro f5 and i switched the gearing to 39/12 and i got it topped out and the chain snapped and i went for a ride. now that i run 25/9 gearing and i constantly worry my chain is going to snap. not to mention i keep my chian so tight u cant bend it and i can already see the wear on my sprocket and driver.
