I have wondered where the population tipping point for bike events is.

For example the grill in the park had a hundred or so bikers show up. Maybe more. Out of a population of about 2 million in the Portland/Vancouver area.

The Eugene/Springfield area has a population of about 300,000. So, does that mean about 1//10 of the people would show up. So an event with 100-200 people in Portland might draw about 10-20 in Eugene?

I suppose it might depend a bit on college participation.
