Like twocicle I'm able to reproduce the auto start/stop on metal bridges. We have one over the west side highway above dinosaur BBQ in Manhattan. When I had the problem on the way out this morning I moved the speed sensor from my rear wheel to the front. Worked perfectly until I hit that very same bridge on the way back. Going to follow up with Garmin and hit them over the head with this.
