I've used a number of different double FDs with triple cranksets. As long as you don't have an incredibly huge jump from the middle to small chainring you shouldn't have a problem. The only issues I've had have been that on some setups the upshift from the small chainring would sometimes skip the middle and go all the way to the large chainring, or if the large chainring was too large, the chain would drag on the tail of the FD when close to the small/small combo. There's no harm in trying.
