Still, too expensive for me now since I'm only 17. But when I get a job I'm going to save up for an Alleweder (1000/1500 euro's 2nd hand here) or a Mango (2500/3000 euros 2nd hand) which I want to use as a car-alternative for as long as possible, which should be doable since the Netherlands is flat and small enough.

I do like the idea of homemade (coroplast) fairings and two wheeled streamlined shells since they are much cheaper and very adapt for homebuilding. If I had a trike or an OSS bent I'd definitely try and build a coroplast shell for it. On my two wheeled USS bent I'm not sure if it'd work well.
Yeah, USS steering really doesn't work well with fairings at all.

If you're interested, there's an active coroplast builder's group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/15644592486/

I built a Coroplast partial faring for my Lightning about 15 years ago. It came out pretty well: Faux F40
