Advice on Triple front mech w/ Stronglight 99 30-40-50

Hey guys and gals, i am hoping in the collective wisdom to not spend a bunch of money finding an answer. I have a bicycle I want to keep as French as possible, but if we have to break free of the French influence for the purpose of sound mechanics, thats cool.

I fit a stronglight 30-40-50 triple onto this bicycle and now my front derailleur doesn't make clean changes. i was running the TA zephyr 26-38-46 before just fine. Shifters are sachs huret new success indexed brifters, rear mech is sachs new success and shifts great. front is suntour superbe and probably not designed for a triple, so i wasn't shocked it wouldn't work.

is anyone running a front mech with a Stronglight triple crankset that they would recommend? is the Sachs Quarz front triple derailleur pretty decent? Something superior?

thanks in advance for any advice or experience shared
