I have to disagree about the pre-1978 date. I have a Mirage Sport from 1982 that is all Huret and Weinmann. Moto moved away from Japanese components on their low end bikes before they moved back. The graphics on your bike are definitely later than mine. I think it has to be 1983-1985. Also, it appears to be a twelve-speed, which would rule out a date earlier than about 1981, I think. (T-Mar, feel free to jump in and correct me if I'm wrong about any of this!) In 1984, the Mirage had Suntour AR derailleurs, so no go there. As for the tubing, the 1984 catalog shows the Mirage made with Motolite - don't know if the decal is still there, but look for it - it's white with red lettering. Also, look on the inside surfaces of the pedal cranks for date codes - they should be either the same year as the bike or the year before. Anyhow,
